The goal of hormone replenishment therapy (HRT) isn’t to bring hormone levels back to fertility levels—it’s to restore them to a state that supports your long-term health and well-being.

When estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone decline, your cells stop getting the signals they need to function properly. That’s why so many women experience hot flashes, brain fog, mood swings, sleep disturbances, joint pain, and more. (there are over 150 symptoms)

By carefully replenishing and optimizing your hormone levels, we can:
Alleviate symptoms like night sweats, anxiety, and energy crashes, etc
Protect long-term health—supporting your brain, bones, muscles, and cardiovascular system
Help you thrive in midlife and beyond

Not Every Woman Needs the Same Level of Hormones

For most midlife women, the goal isn’t full hormone replacement—it’s hormone replenishment to relieve symptoms and support overall health. However, there are exceptions where women may need a more comprehensive approach:

🔹 Surgical Menopause (Hysterectomy or Oophorectomy)
When a woman has her ovaries removed, estrogen and testosterone plummet immediately and irreversibly. In these cases, full hormone replenishment is essential—and should be initiated right away to prevent serious health consequences.

🔹 Severe Cognitive Symptoms
Some women experience a sharp decline in cognitive function, focus, and memory when estrogen drops. In these cases, a higher-dose estrogen approach may be necessary to restore quality of life.

🔹 Other Special Cases
Women experiencing extreme perimenopausal symptoms, postpartum hormonal shifts, or premature menopause may also require a different approach to HRT.

It’s About Individualized Care

Every woman’s needs are different—which is why I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to hormone therapy. Instead, I:

✔ Use compounded bioidentical hormones made in 100% organic oil, free from harmful additives
✔ Base dosing on symptom relief, not lab values
✔ Adjust treatment over time as your needs evolve
✔ Take a whole-body approach to ensure hormones are supporting your brain, bone, muscle, and heart health

Why I Call It “Hormone Replenishment Therapy” Instead of “Replacement”

The term "hormone replacement therapy" (HRT) has been widely used, but I prefer hormone replenishment therapy because:
We’re not replacing something unnatural—we’re restoring what your body needs
Hormone levels don’t have to be at youthful fertility peaks—they just need to be optimized for health
Replenishing hormones supports longevity, brain health, bone density, and overall well-being

This distinction is important because menopause doesn’t mean you lose all hormones—it means your levels decline. The key is to replenish them appropriately, safely, and effectively to match your body’s needs.
